With the rough opening clean and prepped for the new door and jamb move the system into place as one with door hung on hinges. Temporarily shim the side jambs tight top and bottom ends in the rough opening. Temporary shims at the bottom hinge may also be required to straighten door sag. The top hinge will sag just be aware that you will compensate for it later with shims and a screw to snug it when the door is installed permanently. Use of a level isnt necessary just align the jambs flush with the interior plaster and shift shims to square the door in the jambs with even spacing reveal.
UV protective tape has chemicals in both the tape and adhesive that block UV rays and make the tape resistant to both sunlight and heat. It can be used in both hot and cold climates without the worry of adhesive transfer resulting in a quick and clean removal upon project completion. Although more expensive than other tapes UV protective tape is very cost effective when the costs of clean up or repainting of entry thresholds are considered. Blue masking tape and blue sill tapes are the most common tapes for protecting thresholds. These low cost tapes work for short term protection only in areas of low heat or sunlight.
Keeping an entryway looking great during construction and remodeling is now easier and more cost effective than ever. Bifold doors now form part of almost all new build home extensions due to their ability to open up large unobstructed openings allowing the new living space to seamlessly merge with the garden. The enormous growth in demand for these folding sliding doors in the UK in recent years has led to a substantial increase in the number and type of different door systems now available to the consumer. They are now widely available in a choice of materials and finishes with the three most popular being thermally broken aluminium upvc and hardwood.
